BIOGRAPHY OF SINGER/ACTOR MOHAMMED FAROOQUI

In his youth days farooqui sb. actively participated the music.....he had been always attracted to the world of music.During education Farooqui sb performed as singer in various stage programmes in Rajasthan, but his religious father was against with his activities.
At last in 1945 farooqui sb came to Bombay to try his luck in hindi film industries as a singer.., with a reference letter for music director khemchand prakash.
The only person who knew Farooqui in Bombay was Azad Farooqui, with whom Farooqui sb. stayed for some time in old khar. Khemchand prakash belongs to Rajasthan (Sujan garh) After one year struggle khem chand prakash called to Farooqui sb at his own residence. when Farooqui sb gone to there, K L Sehgal sb also sitting there. khemchand prakash introduced him with K L sehgal sb.sahgal sb asked Farooqui to sing any song. Then Farooqui sung the song...soja raj kumari soja......after hearing his own song K L Sehgal sb became impressed and said ..''there is something new in his voice.'' It was enough for Farooqui to get a contract with Ranjeet Movietone on salary basis. After some time he got his first film as a co-singer, but Farooqui sb tested success in 1947. It was a golden year for his music career. In this year his films chheen le azadi, duniyan ek sarai, lakhon mein ek, and pehli pehchan were released successfully.The song kamzoron ki naheen hai duniyan...from the film chheen le azadi was promoted the freedom fighters to acheive the goal - an independent nation..
The another song which was placed Farooqui among intellectual and poor both categories of people, was---ek musafir aye baba ek musafir jaye...from the film duniyan ek sarai.In 1948 bhajans of the film Jai Hanuman and iss khak ke putle ko from the film mitti ke khilone, were also appreciated by the public.In1949 his films bhool bhul aiyan and alakhniranjan were also became populer.Mohameed Farooqui was among one of the singer who became successfull without any music guru.
It was the end of the 1950. Farooqui's father became seriously ill and sent a message to come Rajasthan immediately. After all his successful films Farooqui sb. desided to left the Bombay and thereafter no look back.
The rest of his life was a mission for the poor category of society.. and he enlighten the light of education.
on 8th February,1990 Mohammed farooqui left for heavenly abode at the age of 75 years, leaving the family and friends to grieve for the loss of a talented personalty.
